Every step of my journey was made possible by those who chose to invest in my future.

 Growing up, I witnessed firsthand the sacrifices my parents made just to provide for our family. With four children and a limited income, my mother worked as a teacher while my father took on multiple jobs, from farming and raising animals to driving, just to make ends meet. Seeing their sacrifices, I knew early on that I had to do well in school, hoping one day to ease the burden they carried.

But even with hard work, it was not enough. I relied on scholarships and the generosity of others to continue my education. When I was given the opportunity to study in the United States through a scholarship, I knew my family could not support me financially, but I chose to take that step anyway. Along the way, I met people, organizations, and mentors who believed in me and helped me move forward.

Through scholarships, grants, and private support, I was able to complete my master’s degree at Northern Illinois University, pass the CPA exam, and begin building my career. Every step of my journey was made possible by those who chose to invest in my future.

That is why I started the BLESS Foundation.

While I am still early in my career, I believe there is no better time to give back. Life is uncertain, and while I may not know how much time I have, I do know that I want to make an impact while I can. This is not just about paying it forward. It is about creating a movement.

Through BLESS, we provide scholarships, mentorship, career guidance, and outreach programs to support students who have the potential but lack access. My hope is that one day, those we help will go on to help others, continuing a cycle of opportunity, generosity, and transformation.
